Summer Wish List

I love summer. I love the way you can walk outside with no preparation. No gloves, hats, scarves- no coats! Summer life is the easy life. There is no work involved in walking from the front door to the car. No shoveling snow, no seeing your breath, no bloody noses from dry heat. Ahhh...sweet, sweet summertime.

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is spend time outside. I love going to fairs, festivals, shows- any activity that brings groups of people together. I'm so bummed this year that I will not be able to go to many of the events that I used to in Georgia. It won't feel like summer this year without the Gainesville College Fireworks Show, the Stone Mountain Laser Show and an Atlanta Braves Game!  Maybe I'll convince the hubs to drive me down for one (or more!) of these events before the summer is out. There's just something to be said about running barefoot through the grass, sitting around a summer campfire and root, root, rooting for the home team. I love drinking lemonade, eating watermelon and getting sick from eating too much kettle corn. Oh the joys of summer!

This summer, there is only one thing on my wish list...

A NEW CAMERA!
Nikon Coolpix P90 12.1MP Digital Camera with 24x Wide Angle Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 3 inch Tilt LCD
 Like this one!
If you click on the image, you can find out more information about this camera.

If you've noticed, many of the pictures on my blog are grainy. They look tired and old. I would love to have a new camera to better capture the events in my life. Summer always brings bright colors- vibrant reds, yellows and pinks. My current camera just doesn't do summer justice.

I tried to convince Dallas that this camera was a "must have" for summer. He wasn't so sure. Mr. Logical thinks we should wait a while. And a while to Dallas could be several years! Oh well...I guess I'll start saving my pennies and hope to make a purchase before my hair turns grey.

What do you think? Do you have a camera that you love? What do you love about summer time?

  1. At work I use a Panasonic point and shoot camera. It's great for quick pictures, handy in size, and very versatile. But if I were going to purchase something, I would probably invest in something like this, http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Digital-Camera-18-55mm-3-5-5-6/dp/B0012YA85A/ref=dp_ob_title_ce ... pricey, but SO worth it. Definitely a BIG investment though=)

And summertime! hmmm... I love that the sun is out when I go to work AND when I come home (and that my drive to work doesn't involve having to slow down at school zones is def a plus=), seeing big hydrangeas in our yard, wearing sundresses and remembering my summers at Wabanna and all the fun and memories I made there!
